The guide

Nothing entered twice. Servers order from the table on their own phone. The order lands on the table's open Clover check and prints in the kitchen, with the server's name on it.
Numbers fills itself. Sales, tips, discounts and each server's checks arrive every 5 minutes. No file to export or upload.
One screen for the night. Register sales sit next to the wait, the deals that seated people and kitchen times, so you can see what worked.
About 10 minutes, once. You make one token in Clover and paste it here. Delete that token in Clover any time to cut RightPlace off.

On a computer, go to clover.com and sign in as the owner.: The owner login is the one that can make API tokens.
Click Account & Setup in the left menu.: Some dashboards show Settings instead; click that, then View all settings.
Under Business Operations, click API Tokens.: If Clover asks you to turn on two-step sign-in first, do that and come back here.
Click Create New Token and name it RightPlace.: The name only helps you find it later in this list.
Tick Orders (Read and Write), Payments, Inventory, Employees and Merchant (Read), then click Create Token.: These let RightPlace put tickets on the table's check and read paid checks back. Nothing else.
Click the eye next to RightPlace and copy the token.: Treat it like a password. Paste it only into RightPlace.
Copy your merchant ID: the 13 letters and numbers after /m/ in the address bar.: It is the part highlighted in yellow in the picture.
In RightPlace, open Manager, then Team & screens, then Your register. Pick Clover, paste both and tap Save.: Pick My Clover, not Test, unless Clover gave you a sandbox.

After you save

The next ticket a server sends lands on the table's Clover check. Your first checks show in Numbers within about 5 minutes.

Questions owners ask

What can RightPlace do in my Clover with this token?

Put a server's ticket on the table's open check and read checks back once they are paid. It cannot refund, change prices or touch payments. Delete the token in Clover any time and RightPlace is cut off.

Do my servers need new devices?

No. Servers order on the phones they already carry, in the web browser. Keep a spare device or two charged in the office.
