RightPlace with Heartland

Heartland POS: keep Heartland on payments, give the door its own screen.

Heartland’s restaurant point of sale, now sold under the name Genius, runs your orders and payments. RightPlace runs beside it in a web browser to handle the waitlist, the kitchen pass and the guests deciding where to go tonight.

Keep Heartland doing what it does best

Heartland rings up the sale, runs the card and keeps your menu, checks and payments. RightPlace leaves all of that alone. It covers the parts of the night that happen before and around the check: the door, the line, the kitchen pass, the guests who are deciding where to go tonight, and the regulars you want back next week.

Nothing to install on Heartland, nothing to switch off, and nothing to retrain on the register. No hardware required.

Tip: keep a spare device or two charged in case a server’s phone dies. Staff can use their own devices if they like.

What RightPlace adds beside Heartland

Already have a waitlist or reservations?

If you already use a waitlist or reservations tool with Heartland, keep it. RightPlace’s biggest help is bringing people in: guests looking for a spot tonight see the wait you posted and your deals, tap On the way, and come back for the perks you set. You can also run the waitlist on RightPlace; pick whichever your host likes.

Set it up in a few minutes

  1. Pick a screen: Use a screen you already have where it can open a web browser, or any tablet, laptop or phone beside the register.
  2. Open getrightplace.app: Sign in with your spot’s 6-digit code. There is nothing to download from an app store.
  3. Bring your menu over: Export your items as a CSV file, or paste your menu or your website’s menu page. You see everything before it saves.
  4. Run a night: The host stand, kitchen, servers and Door TV each open on their own screen. Payments keep going through Heartland.

Heartland is a trademark of its owner. RightPlace is a separate company, not affiliated with or endorsed by Heartland, and RightPlace does not connect to Heartland: it runs beside it in a web browser.

Where to go next

Questions owners ask

Can RightPlace run on my Heartland device?

Plan on any tablet, laptop or phone with a web browser beside it. If your Heartland device opens a browser, RightPlace runs there too; Heartland (Genius) can tell you.

Can I import my Heartland menu?

Export your items as a CSV file, or paste your menu or your website’s menu page. You see everything before it saves.

Does RightPlace replace Heartland?

No. Heartland keeps every sale, card payment and check. RightPlace never takes payment and runs beside your register in a web browser.
